The Threes program at GSES provides students with multiple opportunities to learn through joyful discovery and emerging social relationships. Children at this age are interested for the first time in developing friendships and relationships with their peers through playful activities. GSES has a total of 52 students in the Threes program. There are three sections each with 14 students, providing a 1:7 student to teacher ratio. We also offer a 3-Day class option. The need for children to develop healthy social and emotional skills is crucial at this stage and requires a lot of adult support, mediation and guidance. Inside the classroom, children enjoy a variety of sensory and art activities, games and toys to develop fine motor, cognitive, math skills and sensory processing skills. The Threes program serves as an entry point into the school and we enjoy welcoming new families and students to our school.

Program Highlight
Crowe’s Nest Farm is a non-profit educational facility dedicated to fostering public appreciation, knowledge, and wise stewardship of the agricultural and wildlife resources of Texas. The farm is located on 100 acres in Manor just 9 miles east of Austin. Each spring Threes students enjoy observing and learning about farm animals and native Texas wildlife. They also enjoy a tractor drawn hayride, a cow-milking demonstration, children’s themed gardens, various reptiles, insects, spiders, and salamanders!
All GSES students spend at least one hour a day playing outside on our beautiful playground!
This playground was upgraded in July 2019 to provide more opportunities for children to experience nature and self-guided discovery. Established learning goals have been developed by our professional and knowledgeable teachers who understand that learning at this stage is through creative and active play.
